Welcome to Castle Hill Baptist Church

One morning service at 9:30am. Evening service at 5pm.

Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God".
Our Mission is expressed in the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:28.

“We proclaim Him (Christ), teaching and admonishing everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” NIV

In keeping with this scriptural mission statement we are a church who seek to glorify God through submitting to His Word preached and taught. It is only through God’s Word, the Bible, alone that we know God’s saving truth and can enter into a right relationship with Him through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through obeying God’s Word that we can display His glory as He desires.

Therefore, we are committed to expounding the Bible in our gatherings so that we may grow up into those who demonstrate the likeness of Christ our Lord. (2 Timothy 3:14-4:8).

We rejoice in the Sovereignty of God over all things and affirm that God saves his chosen people by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. (Ephesians (1:1-14)

Our large gatherings on Sunday are focused around the hearing of God’s Word and our right response to His greatness and grace. These Sunday gatherings at 8:30am, 10:30am and 5pm (see Latest News for any occasional time changes) typically facilitate corporate Bible reading and teaching, singing, prayer, church news, ministry updates, testimonies. We further share together in encouragement over morning tea or supper.

Specific time is given each month in these gatherings for participation in the Lord’s supper, Baptisms and welcomes into Membership. Church meetings are held quarterly to discuss and determine major decisions, pray and hear ministry needs and highlights. Church prayer nights are held monthly.

Smaller gatherings — our Bible Care Groups — are held in homes during the week. These are encouraged as vital means of Christian growth and developing relationships through Bible Study, prayer and further pastoral care of one another.

We endeavour to keep a discipleship focus throughout the various ministries of the church and see the building up of every Christian to reach out to others as the main strategy of church growth. We support evangelism and the equipping of God’s church in Australia and Overseas. Matthew 28:18-20 expresses well the Biblical mandate for the church: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (NIV)

We are very glad to welcome fellow Christians and any people enquiring about what it means to be a Christian or those seeking pastoral care. We are not perfect, but hope that you will find us relying on God’s grace in Jesus Christ, and encouraged through fellowship with those seeking to follow Him.
